Superior native Erik Pearson is best known for his work as an artist (you may have seen his murals at the Red Mug Coffee Shop and the Spirit Room) but he’s always kept music as a sideline. His most recent project is this duo that includes fellow Wisconsinite Joshua Murray; they recently released album number three, Hard Pan to Chaos. In last year’s Homegrown blog we described their sound as, “Tom-Waits-meets-sea-shanties,” but you can judge for yourself when you listen to their performance from our studios on Tuesday, May 1. It’s a preview of their Homegrown set the same night at Vikre in Duluth.
